On September 23, the Chinese Society of Particuology announced the results of the 2026 Science and Technology Award. The project Nanobubble Technology and Its Industrial Application for Advanced Treatment of Industrial Wastewater, led by Tongji University and jointly applied by Gongyuan Environmental, Baowu Water, Nanjing Tianqi, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, won the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the 2026 Chinese Society of Particuology Science and Technology Award. It is the only first-prize winner among all entries of the 2026 Science and Technology Progress Award. The project addresses key technologies including stable generation and precise characterization of nanobubbles, low-pressure high-efficiency generation, advanced oxidation, and intelligent regulation for complex water quality, achieving domestic substitution of core equipment.
