Dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems are classified into three types based on water flow patterns: horizontal-flow, upflow, and hybrid configurations. The horizontal-flow DAF, widely used in wastewater treatment, effectively removes suspended solids, oils, and colloidal substances. As a primary equipment in preliminary wastewater treatment, it plays a crucial role in the process.
Upflow dissolved air flotation (DAF) is a solid-liquid separation device for wastewater treatment, mainly used in water purification, domestic sewage, and industrial wastewater treatment. It effectively removes impurities such as suspended solids (SS) and chemical oxygen demand (CODcr), achieving excellent treatment results.
The remaining type is the integrated dissolved air flotation (DAF) system, which offers more comprehensive functionality and thus finds wider applications. Regardless of the specific DAF model, the pneumatic components are essential as they form the operational foundation of the equipment. Therefore, during operation, special attention must be paid to the compressed air lines, which should be protected from sparks and avoid mechanical stress.
At the same time, the oil level in the oil cup of the dissolved air flotation machine control box should be kept at the liquid level, and the oil should be changed every three months to ensure the normal operation of the dissolved air tank and the good operation of the dissolved air flotation machine.
